Sarah Mortimer is an experienced public relations consultant and runs PR accounts for a range of clients. She liaises with marketing and communications teams and company executives to help businesses get their message across to the desired audience.
During her time at rein4ce she has done public relations work, research, copywriting and social media training. She has also been instrumental in business development for the company.
Sarah is a former award-winning journalist who was most recently the insurance-linked securities (ILS) correspondent for the Reuters news agency.
Sarah has a deep knowledge of ILS, insurance and reinsurance, and their growing convergence with the global capital markets. As well as reporting on insurance and ILS, Sarah also covered the UK and European pension markets for Reuters from their London office.
Sarah, who was named 'Trade Journalist of the Year' in the 2009 British Insurance Brokers' Association (BIBA) awards, has developed excellent relationships with key players in the global ILS and capital convergence markets. At Reuters, she edited and developed an ILS-focused community website that reached more than 2,000 professionals involved in or interested in ILS.
Prior to joining Reuters, Sarah spent three years at Insurance Age followed by a year at the weekly trade magazine Post. At Post, Sarah covered everything to do with general insurance, including loss adjusting, claims management, IT and technology.
